Marvel Studios has released a new gallery of 9 photos from Marvel's The Avengers. Continuing the epic big-screen adventures started in “Iron Man,” “The Incredible Hulk,” “Iron Man 2,” “Thor” and “Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Marvel's The Avengers” is the superhero team up of a lifetime.
The film was written and directed by Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Dollhouse). Loki (Tom Hiddleston), the villain in Marvel's last comic book movie, Thor, conspires with some sort of technological threat to take over the world. The cast includes Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Scarlett Johansson as the Black Widow, Clark Gregg as S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Coulson, Cobie Smulders S.H.I.E.L.D. Agent Maria Hill, Samuel L. Jackson as S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury and Stellan Skarsgård as Erik Selvig.
The Avengers will hit theaters on Friday April 27 2012.
