Here's another (theatrical) trailer for Scott Walker‘s violent crime thriller The Frozen Ground, which is set to hit limited theaters this August. We already shared all important details about the story, and now is time to take another look at Vanessa Hudgens, who stars as a 17-year-old girl who pairs up with Alaskan detective to help bring a serial killer to justice.
Written and directed by Walker, the pic is based on the true story of Alaskan detective Glenn Flothe (aka Sgt. Jack Halcombe in the film) who sets out to end the murderous rampage of Robert Hansen, a serial killer who has silently stalked the streets of Anchorage for more than 13 years.

As the bodies of street girls start to add up in Anchorage, fear strikes a chord with the public. Risking his life, Detective Flothe goes on a personal manhunt to find the killer before the next body surfaces. When a seventeen year old escapee reveals key information about the case, Flothe is finally able to trail the killer. But will he catch him in time to save the next victim?
Beside Hudgens, The Frozen Ground also stars Nicolas Cage as Jack Halcombe, John Cusack as Hansen, 50 Cent and Radha Mitchell, & the movie is set to hit limited theaters on August 23rd, 2013.
