Sean Penn and
Javier Bardem in
Pierre Morel‘s
The Gunman as well.
This time around, an outstanding British actor who tends to play working-class London psychotics, signed on to play the mentor to Penn's titular character, a hired killer betrayed by and hunted down by his crime organization employer.
Pete Travism who directed the violent 2012 comic book adaptation
Dredd, wrote the adapted script from the Jean-Patrick Manchette novel ‘The Prone Gunman,' which was published post-mortem in 2002.
According to Deadline, Italian actress
Jasmine Trinca (Miele) has been added to the top-notch cast as the female lead.
Production is slated to begin later this month and will start in Barcelona, Spain.
