The first TV spot for director Fede Alvarez's horror remake of Sam Raimi‘s Evil Dead features audience reactions to the film's bloody red-band trailer, while not showing much else.

Produced by Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell from a screenplay written by Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues with Diablo Cody, the R-rated remake stars Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Elizabeth Blackmore and Jessica Lucas.
Evil Dead is set to premiere at the SXSW Film Festival this weekend and hits theaters April 5th, 2013.

In the much anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film, five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
