The long-anticipated remake of the 1981 cult-hit horror film comes from the director and writer of Panic Attack!– Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues Mendez.
Sam Raimi‘s original was ‘the ultimate experience in grueling horror' and the new remake suggesting that the levels of CGI, costumes, effects and the gore have been upped, but the film has a lot of strange events familiar from the original, including the Necronomicon, Deadites, and sexually assaultive vegetation.
Screen Gems' Evil Dead opening in theaters on April 5th, 2013, starring Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas and Elizabeth Blackmore.
