MAN OF STEEL Plot Synopsis
Unfortunately word is no way of starting one report, but, unfortunately, nothing new in here. I mean, I do understand that you can not expect something spectacular from another superhero movie, but it would be nice if we could just seat and expect the unexpected from the upcoming Zack Snyder‘s Man Of Steel.
Cast is ok, but I guess that “reboot” thing is just so depressive when it comes to this project.
And before you even start telling me that I’m just one stupid hater, check this out:
“In the pantheon of superheroes, Superman is the most recognized and revered character of all time. Clark Kent/Kal-El (Cavill) is a young twentysomething journalist who feels alienated by powers beyond anyone’s imagination. Transported to Earth years ago from Krypton, an advanced alien planet, Clark struggles with the ultimate question – Why am I here?
Superman: The Man of Steel will Be Back on June 2013
A superhero film project, slated to be produced under the development of Zack Snyder, Christopher Nolan, and David S. Goyer and based on the DC Comics Superman: The Man of Steel, a monthly comic book series has been pushed back six months, from Christmas 2012 to Summer 2013.
Man Of Steel Villainess to be Faora, Daniel Day-Lewis as Jor-El
Latino Review, have a few well placed insiders, and are revealing that Faora will be the female villainess in the movie, most likely joining forces with Michael Shannon‘s General Zod in taking on Superman. The character is defined in the script as Zod’s “right hand bitch.” Furthermore, the film will feature Jor-El, confirming that Daniel Day-Lewis was being wanted as rumored last month, alongside his wife Lana.
To be mentioned Ursa, from the Richard Donner‘s Superman movies, was based on Faora from the comics so it’s believable that in Snyder’s film they’ll be going back to the source.
Michael Shannon On His General Zod Role in Superman: Man of Steel
Now when we have Michael Shannon as General Zod on board, we can continue our chat about the upcoming Zack Snyder’s Superman reboot titled Man of Steel. Of course, we all expect to find out more details about Shannon’s involvement in this movie, so guess what! The actor was interviewed as the Emerging Master Honoree at the 2011 RiverRun International Film Festival.
“This ‘Superman’ thing is ridiculous. It just came out of nowhere. I was talking to my agent … she’s like, ‘How about ‘Superman’? I’m like, ‘What?’ The idea that I would ever be in ‘Superman’! I’m like, ‘Are you serious?’” said Shannon and continued:
Michael Shannon has Officially Joined the Now Officially Titled Man of Steel
Michael Shannon will definitely play General Zod in director Zack Snyder’s Superman spinoff, now officially titled Man of Steel.
So, Academy Award nominee joins a cast that includes Henry Cavill , Amy Adams , Diane Lane and Kevin Costner .
The new Superman reboot has its name belongs to evil guy — if it has Superman in the title as a prefix remains unclear. The figure of a power-crazy fellow-exile from Superman’s home planet of Krypton, is one of the best-known of the classic enemies, having been personified unforgettably by Terence Stamp in 1980’s Superman II.
Michael Shannon as a New Contender for Superman Villain
Michael Shannon is being eyed for a baddie (for General Zod?) in Superman: Man of Steel. Edgar Ramirez is being considered for the villain role as well.
Of course, details are thin on the ground. Previously, Henry Cavill was set as the Man of Steel, with Kevin Costner and Diane Lane attached to play his adoptive parents names on Earth.
Shannon, was long been known as an outstanding character actor who has worked mostly in independent production, but has emerged in several mainstream movies too. As you know Shannon gained an Oscar award for his role in Revolutionary Road and has recently been gathering additional accolades for his work on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. He also took part in Jonah Hex last year.
Diane Lane as Martha Kent in Superman Reboot
Diane Lane has signed on to play Martha Kent in Zack Snyder‘s upcoming Superman movie. Lane will star alongside headliner Henry Cavill in the untitled Warner Bros. project.
Warner Bros. Pictures said on a recent Wednesday that the actress, officially on board the film as Martha “Ma” Kent, is set as “the only mother Clark Kent has ever known.” In addition, Snyder said in a statement:
This was a very important piece of casting for me because Martha Kent is the woman whose values helped shape the man we know as Superman. We are thrilled to have Diane in the role because she can convey the wisdom and the wonder of a woman whose son has powers beyond her imagination.”
