Tom Cruise or James McAvoy in Guillermo Del Toro’s At the Mountains of Madness?
We already had a little chat about Guillermo Del Toro‘s At the Mountains of Madness movie.
Another big name is attached to this project, James Cameron, who will also produce the movie that will be shot in 3D.
Today, we’re here for a little update, only this time, cast update!
Well, it’s not actually official, so consider this as a rumor, but according to some reports, guys from Universal want James McAvoy to play the lead in the film, while del Toro wants Tom Cruise to star.
Chris Pine’s name was also being tossed around, but his busy schedule may be “too packed”.
As you all remember, McAvoy is about to start filming on X-Men: First Class movie, where he’ll play the young Professor Charles Xavier, and he is attached to co-star in Tom Tykwer’s adaptation of David Mitchell’s novel Cloud Atlas as well.
Paula Patton Joins Mission Impossible 4
Few days ago we had a little chat about new Mission Impossible, so you already know that Lauren German (Hostel: Part II), Paula Patton (Precious) and Kristin Kreuk (Smallville) were all in the running for the role of a young female operative.
Today, we’re here to announce that Paula Patton is the lucky winner!
So, still nothing new about this project, but at least now we know that Patton will play “a young operative who works with Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt character.”
We previously reported that Jeremy Renner has joined the movie, and the word is that Renner will play a younger agent being mentored by Ethan Hunt, played, of course, by Tom Cruise.
From there, subsequent movies in the franchise will star Renner with Cruise appearing in a supporting role.

If we’re going to judge new Mission: Impossible by this casting news then it’s definitely going to be the most gorgeous sequel ever!

Keven Zegers, Christopher Egan and Anthony Mackie are currently testing to star alongside Tom Cruise in the Mission: Impossible 4!
Ok, the movie won’t be called Mission: Impossible, but we have no new title for now.
At this moment we have no idea if the three are competing for the same role, but since the project is in the early development, there are already some rumors that Ethan Hunt aka Tom Cruise’s character would mentor a younger agent, but, as we said, nothing is official yet.
According to The Wrap “Anthony Mackie, Kevin Zegers and Chris Egan are all being eyed for roles in the highly-anticipated sequel, individuals familiar with the casting process have told Deal Central.
Michael Bacall To Write Tom Cruise’s Les Grossman Movie
It’s official now! Paramount Pictures and MTV Films announced the development of a comedy focused on Grossman, the foul-mouthed movie producer played by Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder and the 2010 MTV Movie Awards.
Cruise, Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfield are producing the project with Scott Pilgrim vs. the World screenwriter Michael Bacall tackling the script.
No word yet if the Tropic Thunder crew will reprise their roles in this project. Let us remind you that movie starred Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr., Jack Black, Jay Baruchel and Matthew McConaughey, but it looks that above mentioned guys (or, producers) are quite excited about the whole thing.
“Les Grossman’s life story is an inspiring tale of the classic human struggle to achieve greatness against all odds, and I am honored to be working with him,” said Stiller, who starred in, co-wrote and directed Tropic Thunder.
Simon Pegg in Mission: Impossible 4
Simon Pegg is in talks to reprise his role for Paramount’s Mission: Impossible 4, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.
We already know that Tom Cruise will be back for his role as secret agent Ethan Hunt and now it looks that Star Trek star Pegg will be back as geeky scientist Benji Dunn as well.
So, let the work on this project begin! Only this time, with some changes…
The film will be directed by Brad Bird, man who responsible for projects like The Incredibles, and the award-winning Ratatouille.
International Knight and Day Posters
20th Century Fox has debuted three new international posters for the new Tom Cruise action/comedy Knight and Day, which will be unleashed in theaters everywhere on June 25th, 2010.
The film centers on a lonely woman (Cameron Diaz) whose seemingly harmless blind date suddenly turns her life upside-down when a super spy (Cruise) takes her on a violent worldwide journey to protect a powerful battery that holds the key to an infinite power source. Maggie Grace (The Jane Austen Book Club, Taken) is playing Diaz’s sister, who is getting married, excited that Diaz will take the place of their late father and walk her down the aisle.

Tom Cruise’s Les Grossman Movie
After his appearing at the MTV Movie Awards last weekend it’s been confirmed that Tom Cruise will produce and star in a film based on his Tropic Thunder character Les Grossman.
As co-producer, Ben Stiller released a statement today on behalf of Paramount Pictures:
“Les Grossman’s life story is an inspiring tale of the human class struggle to achieve greatness against all odds.”
“He has assured me he plans to, quote, ‘F**king kill the sh*t out of this movie and make Citizen f**king Kane look like a piece of crap home movie by the time we are done.’ I am honoured to be working with him,” Stiller said.
