Well, Ruben Fleischer‘s crime film Gangster Squad opens this Friday, and I guess this is our final gangster-report, 'cause let's face it – we already shared every single detail about this project, right? Ruben Fleischer directed the movie from a Will Beall‘s script which centers on LAPD detectives who are attempting to keep Los Angeles free of gangsters during the 1940s and '50s.

In other words, the movie is a story of six police officers and detectives who must protect the law by breaking it, taking on Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen and his gang.

As you already know, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Robert Patrick, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie and Emma Stone all star in Gangster Squad which opens on January 11th, 2013.

Ruthless, Brooklyn-born mob king Mickey Cohen runs the show in this town, reaping the ill-gotten gains from the drugs, the guns, the prostitutes and–if he has his way–every wire bet placed west of Chicago. And he does it all with the protection of not only his own paid goons, but also the police and the politicians who are under his control.
