From Maleficent to The Great Beauty – tough life for Angelina Jolie, indeed!
At this moment the only thing we know about Paolo Sorrentino‘s upcoming movie, titled La grande bellezza, is that Jolie will have a cameo role in the whole thing.
But don't expect to hear more about this project, because every single thing about the possible plot (for example) is still one big mystery!
I definitely hope that Sorrentino will do something weird with Angelina, just like he did with Sean Penn in This Must Be the Place. After all, The Great Beauty is a follow-up to that one, and is set in Rome. And in Rome – everything is possible.
Anyway, beside Jolie and her cameo, the movie will also star Toni Servillo, who will play a La Dolce Vita-style reporter.
This film will actually be Servillo's third collaboration with Sorrentino: he previously had a small role in Le Conseguenze dell'amore and also played the central role of Andreotti I Il Divo.
According to THR, The Great Beauty is scheduled for release in 2013, although it's still not clear whether it will be finished in time to become Sorrentino's fifth film to screen in competition in Cannes.
