Hugh Jackman Hugh Jackman is officially on board for the upcoming X-Men: Days Of Future Past! And this update comes straight from director Bryan Singer who shared the lucky news via his Twitter account. Nothing to be surprised about, but hey – at least now we have a confirmation! Check out the rest of this report to find more details about this project… So, Jackman will join the cast which already includes some great names – Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender and Nicholas Hoult. And, director Singer definitely sounds excited about the whole thing:
I would officially like to welcome @RealHughJackman to the cast of #Xmen Days of Future Past. Very excited! More to come…
As you already know, the upcoming movie will be based on a popular storyline in the Marvel Comics comic book The Uncanny X-Men issues #141 and #142, published in 1981, which deals with a dystopian alternative future in which mutants are incarcerated in internment camps. Simon Kinberg who co-wrote X-Men: The Last Stand and co-produced X-Men: First Class will write the sequel. X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to open on July 18th, 2014. Stay tuned for more!
