It's not the costume – it's who you really are, says Chloe Moretz in the latest TV spot for Kick-Ass 2. Costume, or not, but they all want to be like Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl in Jeff Wadlow‘s upcoming action-comedy which is set to hit theaters next month. Written and directed by Wadlow, the sequel to the 2010 film Kick-Ass opens on August 16th, 2013, and beside Moretz also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Morris Chestnut, John Leguizamo, Donald Faison and Jim Carrey.
We already shared one pretty cool red band (and another green band) trailer for the movie, as well as some great character posters, so I'm sure you all remember that, this time, the movie follows Kick-Ass who joins with a group of normal citizens who have been inspired to fight crime in costume.
One of these, Colonel Stars and Stripes, forms a team and asks Kick-Ass to join them, while Hit-Girl “retires”, and tries to have a normal life as a schoolgirl. Meanwhile, following the death of his father, Red Mist is reborn as The Mother Fucker and plans to exact revenge on Kick-Ass for his father's death.
