Justin Chadwick stands behind this biopic which is based on Mandela's 1994 autobiography of the same name.
The movie chronicles his early life, coming of age, education and 27 years in prison before becoming President and working to rebuild the country's once segregated society.
Beside Elba, the rest of
Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom cast includes
Naomie Harris,
Tony Kgoroge,
Riaad Moosa,
Zolani Mkiva and
Jamie Bartlett, and the movie is set to hit theaters on November 29th, 2013.
