Low Winter Sun, anyone remembers that one? Yeah, yeah, we are talking about UK TV movie where Mark Strong played cop, or if you prefer – character named Frank Agnew.
Well, guess what, it looks that AMC is quite interested in the whole thing, and they want to bring us the remake of a dark police drama from 2006. And, believe it or not, but Mark Strong is still interested in playing the same man!
Criminal Minds producer Chris Mundy is on board to write and executive produce the new version, which will transpose the original's story of police corruption from Edinburgh to Detroit.
At this moment we also know that, beside Strong, James Ransone is also on board to star as Damon Callis, a member of the Detroit organized crime syndicate into which Agnew will be drawn.
Well, if anyone asks – I'm totally ok with this project. First of all, I like Criminal Minds very much, so there's no way that Mundy could fuck up something that already sounds like another cool police drama. On the other hand, Strong is not a bad actor at all, so…yeah, I'm in!
