Director Carlos Saldanha stands behind the sequel to the 2011 computer-animated film Rio, which grossed over $143 million in the United States and $484 million worldwide!
As you probably remember, in Rio 2 it's (again) all about Blu, voiced by Jesse Eisenberg and Jewel, voiced by Anne Hathaway, and their three kids.

They are living the perfect domesticated life in that magical city. But, when Jewel decides the kids need to learn to live like real birds, she insists the family venture into the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in with his new neighbors, he worries he may lose Jewel and the kids to the call of the wild.
Beside Eisenberg and Hathaway, the rest of the Rio 2 cast also includes Jemaine Clement, will.i.am, Tracy Morgan, George Lopez, Leslie Mann, Jamie Foxx, Andy Garcia, Bruno Mars, Rita Moreno, Amandla Stenberg, Rachel Crow and more, and the movie is currently set to hit theaters on April 11th, 2014.
