Irish actor Stuart Townsend is set to star in the upcoming ABC's pilot Betrayal.
Townsend, who you probably remember as Dorian Gray from that 2003 movie The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen will join previously announced Hannah Ware who is already set to play the female lead in the whole thing.
Directed by Patty Jenkins, Betrayal will center on Ware's character – an unhappily married photographer named Sara, who begins a torrid affair with a charming lawyer named Jack. As you already guess – Townsend is now on board to play that guy.
As Deadline reports, Jack is a charming, quick-witted lawyer for a powerful family that raised him when his parents died in an accident. When he turns out to be defending a murder suspect who is being prosecuted by her husband, the relationship and the case begin a spiraling series of betrayals with cataclysmic results for everyone involved.
Chris Johnson is also attached to play the above mentioned husband, while Wendy Moniz is set to star as Jack's wife, who is by the way – his boss' daughter.
That's a lot of drama, if you ask me!
