Ready for another female-centered comedy in the vein of “Cheers”? Hope you are, because the big news for today is that
Tina Fey is officially on board to executive produce an upcoming (yet untitled)
NBC's comedy which is set at a former women's college that begins accepting men for the first time. That should be interesting, head inside to find more details…
What definitely sounds promising is that “30 Rock” team – Fey, Matt Hubbard and Robert Carlock are all attached to this new project, which means that Hubbard is set to pen the script, while Fey, Carlock and David Miner will serve as executive producers on the project.
As we said at the beginning, the comedy (in the vein of “Cheers”) would be a character-driven workplace series where a young woman in search of reconnecting with her father finds a new home and family on Fire Island.
According to the latest reports, Fey has no plans to star in the whole thing, but we have no doubts that (with the above mentioned team) – the new comedy will be another successful job for NBC
We'll keep an eye on it, make sure you stay tuned for more updates!
