The teaser poster for Walt Disney Animation Studios top-secret CG animated project, Wreck-It Ralph has been unveiled.
Previously titled Reboot Ralph film takes place in the world of video games and centers on an 8-bit arcade villain voiced by John C. Reilly.
Directed by Emmy®-winning Rich Moore (The Simpsons, Futurama) a hilarious, arcade-game-hopping journey is scheduled for a release in November 2nd, 2012.
The titular character is a ‘9-foot-tall, 643-pound video game villain' who apparently destroys buildings in a ‘Rampage'-style game. On the other side, Fix-It Felix (Jack McBrayer) is the guy that cleans up after his path of destruction like a major hurricane. The movie begins when Ralph wants to break out of his villainous role, and embarks on an odyssey through classic videogame archetypes (such as ‘Halo' and ‘Mario Kart') to find a game where he can be a hero for once.
Wreck-It Ralph also features the voices of Jane Lynch and Sarah Silverman.
So, watch the poster below… just a low-res sprite splashed against a black background for a tale about a Pac-Man era game trying to make it in a Halo era world. Or am I reading too much?
