Alexis Bledel in Fox Comedy Pilot FRIEND & FAMILY

Alexis Bledel is one busy lady. We've just learned that Gilmore Girls star is attached to play the female lead in an upcoming Fox comedy pilot Friends & Family. Yet another comedy, but we still think this deserves your attention because another great name is on board – Jason Ritter, who you probably remember from NBC's Parenthood. Fox‘s single-camera comedy pilot is written by David Rosen, and based on the UK series Gavin & Stacey, Friends & Family which centers on a couple – guy named Gavin and his long distance girlfriend Stacey who try to maintain their relationship while combining their polarizing families' lives. As you already guess Ritter will play that Gavin guy, while Bledel is on board to play Stacey. This will be Bledel's first regular role since her seven year run on “Gilmore Girls” and as you probably remember – she was last seen on AMC's Mad Men.
