Fox Searchlight Pictures has released a new international trailer and quad poster for romantic indie comedy Ruby Sparks, the film from Little Miss Sunshine directors Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris.
Paul Dano stars as a frustrated writer who creates a character named Ruby Sparks. However, it turns out that Ruby is more than just a fictional being when the unthinkable happens: Dano's ultimate MPDG comes to life. And that's not even the weird part. As his fictional creation, Dano's character can ultimately make her do anything he wants — like speak fluent French!
Zoe Kazan, Dano's real-life girlfriend, wrote the screenplay and stars as Ruby.
Additional cast include Antonio Banderas, Annette Bening, Steve Coogan, Elliott Gould, Chris Messina and Deborah Ann Woll.
Ruby Sparks hits theaters starting on July 25th, 2012
