Here's a new 60-second trailer for
Sightseers, a road trip comedy about two people who just happen to share a mutual desire to kill.
Sightseers is the third film from award-winning director
Ben Wheatley (Down Terrace, Kill List), starring
Alice Lowe, Steve Oram, Eileen Davies, Jonathan Aris, Richard Glover and
Monica Dolan. The pitch black comedy penned by its stars – Lowe and Oram – is about two young lovers who take a caravanning holiday around the British Isles.
However, the trip taken by introverted dog-lover Tina (Lowe) and Chris (Oram) doesn't take very long to fade, either. ‘Noisy teenagers and pre-booked caravan sites, not to mention Tina's meddling mother, soon conspire to shatter Chris's dreams and send him, and anyone who rubs him up the wrong way, over a very jagged edge…'
The first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this summer and is also playing at TIFF this fall, Sightseers lands in the UK on November 30th, with IFC Films releasing it in the US, but hasn't set an official release date yet.
Up-and-coming British filmmaker was already in pre-production on his next movie,
A Field in England, a period movie that will be both in black and white and color, starring Michael Smiley , Peter Ferdinando, Reece Shearsmith, Julian Barratt, Richard Glover and Ryan Pope.
