Nerdist debuted the new trailer for DC's next animated feature,
Superman: Unbound, inspired by
Geoff Johns and
Gary Frank‘s 2008
Action Comics storyline ‘Brainiac.' This feature will be released in June as part of a promotion for the theatrical release of
The Man of Steel.
Featuring the voice talents of White Collar‘s
Matt Bomer (as Supes), Fringe‘s
John Noble (Brainiac), Castle‘s
Stana Katic (Lois Lane), and
Molly Quinn (Kara Zor-El, a.k.a. Supergirl), the animated flick will likely feature more action than all of the Superman movies combined thus far.
Unbound focuses on Superman preparing for a showdown with the metal monster Brainiac as he has his sights set on Earth for harvesting.
On the other side, Kara, Clark Kent's cousin, who has seen the devastation Brainiac can cause when he miniaturized and bottled the Kryptonian capital of Kandor.
Check out the new trailer for Superman: Unbound below, despite the trailer does not seem to include Clark and Pa Kent sharing a moment over some refreshing bottles of root beer.
