Tom Hardy to Play Al Capone in David Yates Trilogy CICERO
Believe it or not, here comes another Al Capone! Say hi to Tom Hardy, quite busy guy these days, who is now set to star as well-known Chicago crime boss in an upcoming David Yates directed Cicero project!
It’s not hard to guess that this movie will follow Al Capone’s rise to power, moving from the slums of Brooklyn to the top of the food chain in prohibition-era Chicago, as well as his subsequent fall, and is being eyed to span three films.
David Yates on Board for Big Screen YOUR VOICE IN MY HEAD
This new project is definitely real: Harry Potter helmer David Yates will direct Your Voice in My Head, based on the memoir by Emma Forrest, a British novelist, screenwriter and journalist based in Los Angeles, who will provide the screenplay.
Yates has decided on something deliberately smaller in scale than building up to a big screen Doctor Who. He said,
It’s a small film, hard hitting and with elements of magic realism. Compared to ‘Potter’ it would cost tuppency ha’penny, and for that reason it would be incredibly liberating to make.
David Yates Will Direct DOCTOR WHO Movie
Who would have guessed that BBC’s sci-fi TV series Doctor Who would become a Hollywood blockbuster some day? Save your breath, we all knew. Even David Yates knew there’s a lot of potential in this story, so no wonder we have great news for Doctor’s fans out there and it goes like this – Yates is set to helm a big-screen adaptation of the well-known tv series!
I know, I know, we’re all excited about this one. Mostly because Yates, man behind the last four Harry Potter movies is on board to direct the whole thing. It already sounds promising. We know that the series centers on adventures of an alien known as The Doctor who goes around with a human companion across space and time. Just for a record, the programme is listed in Guinness World Records as the longest-running science fiction television show in the world, and as the most successful science fiction series of all time!
Ben Affleck to Make Steven King’s THE STAND
Sailing Noah’s Ark into the present is a theme that recurs throughout Stephen King’s epic novel The Stand, where 99.6 percent of America and the world is killed by a biological weapon unleashed from a U.S. Military installation in California. Well, Ben Affleck has reportedly been chosen by Warner Bros. to shipping such a big vessel.
David Yates to Direct The Stand
If I was David Yates, I would pack my bags and go somewhere far, far away! Because then I would know that I’m the man responsible for one of the most successful film franchises in history (Harry Potter) so, logically, I deserve a vacation.
Yeah, I know you’d do anything to get rid of me, but I’m not going anywhere because, unfortunately, I’m not David Yates.
And, Mr. Yates is unstoppable. And he will team up with screenwriter Steve Kloves (who, in case you have no idea, wrote every Harry Potter film except Order of the Phoenix) to adapt Stephen King’s novel The Stand.
Ok, nothing new in here, but this definitely looks huge. And what’s most important, Warner Bros is in the process of finalizing the deals for Yates and Kloves to re-team for a multi-movie version of Stephen King’s epic that goes like this:
“This is the way the world ends: with a nanosecond of computer error in a Defense Department laboratory and a million casual contacts that form the links in a chain letter of death. And here is the bleak new world of the day after: a world stripped of its institutions and emptied of 99 percent of its people.
