Joe Carnahan to Direct Remake of DEATH WISH

Fiona February 1, 2012 Add a Comment
Joe Carnahan Joe Carnahan is the man responsible for The Grey (and probably it's box office success as well) and I'm sure you already know all that. But, what you probably still don't know is that Carnahan will now be in charge for Death Wish remake! Yeah, we've just learned that Carnahan is on board both to write and direct it! Death Wish is the 1974 action movie with Charles Bronson as Paul Kersey, a liberal architect who sets out for vengeance after his wife and daughter are attacked. Classic revenge story, and if you ask me, it definitely sounds like Carnahan is the best choice for its reincarnation. As you probably know, this is not the first time that we're talking about Death Wish remake because at one point Sylvester Stallone came on to attempt a reboot of the whole thing. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the project got stuck in development about five years ago. At this moment we know that the new Death Wish will be produced by The Grey producer Jules Daly along with Ridley and Tony Scott's Scott Free Prods. But I guess we're all interested in the movie cast, especially when it comes to that Paul Kersey role. What do you think, who should star as the lead in this remake? Let us know, and stay tuned!
