Throughout his history, the Beast undergoes progressive transformations to his physiognomy, permanently gaining increasingly animalistic physical characteristics.
These include blue fur, feline facial features, pointed ears, fangs, and claws.

So, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, blessed with superhuman physical strength and renowned in the Marvel Comics for his blue fur? Well, thank God there's a make-up!
X-Men: First Class is due to begin filming next month, with a June 2011 release planned.
